Appendicitis Recovery?

Posted by first steps
Your body will return to its pre-operative appearance in about 3 months when you can restart your exercises. It takes that long for full repair of severed tissue.Do not do heavy abdominals till then.

follow the doc instructions. whatever incision you have will heal on the surface before healing finishes inside. take it easy. i had a huge abdominal incision from a colon resection in 2007. it was a foot long. i was able to go back to work in six weeks. i.m a regular gym user, and never think about the surgical site.

You seem like the type who *really* wants to get back out and exercise.
Please, Please listen to your doctor, and take the recommended time off from exercising.
You do NOT want a hernia (a rip in your abdominal muscles) to develop.

A brief break in high-intensity exercising will be just a little blip in time in the scheme of things.
